“Narrative strategy that evokes meaningful connection”
With a soft spot for music, independent film and all things magic.
Lyric Weiss has been writing scripts since she was 12 years old. Together, she and her writing teacher built the drama program at her middle school in South Seattle, where she first became hooked on making movies. By age 16, she completed the Prague Film School summer program where she made her first short, Oil & Water, which later screened at the Tbilisi Student Film Festival in Georgia. Lyric continued her studies abroad at the Sarajevo Film Academy in Bosnia before completing her degree in Visual Media at SCCA where she grew a penchant for fashion and editorial photography. As she puts it, “If a film is a novel, a photo is a haiku.” Lyric lives a relatively balanced life in Seattle, biding her time exploring narrative strategy as a means for evoking meaningful connection.
